Debating....

Three posts in one day!  How did that happen?  I know- there's still laundry to be done, and I forgot to mop the floor.  Oh, well. 

A friend, Lauren, helped me come upon the career path I may want to pursue once my daughter goes to elementary school. (Or, as my husband says, after the other kids we will have go to school. He's not holding his breath, FYI.) I am very passionate about diabetes education, and so I wanted to seek certification to be a Diabetes Educator.  Sounds simple, right?  Actually, it's quite involved, and I don't even know that it is feasible.  First, I need to complete the Didactic Program in Dietetics, and/or get a Master's degree in Nutrition.  Then, I need to complete a Supervised Practice Program 

from a CADE certified institution, then I need to pass the registration exam, then I need to log 1,000 hours working with patients with diabetes, then I have to pass another exam.  Wow.  I should have thought about this years ago.  I am still debating if I will continue on this path or just look into a Master's in Education, which would be cake, compared to all this stuff.  But, I don't think I want to be a teacher forever.  Torn, torn, torn.  Fortunately, I have time to think about it and in the meantime, I can just focus on being a Mommy. That is certainly job enough right now.
