I am a chef-at-heart, I suppose you would say. I rarely use a recipe (this will sound extremely conceited, and perhaps it is, but I am who I am), because I feel that I should be an inventor, not a follower. Consequently, I will take a recipe, make a few twists and turns, and see where it goes. I have tons of recipe books, and of course the internet is a banquet of recipes, but I rarely consult them. This is for cooking, mind you, not baking. I follow baking recipes "TO THE T" because I am horrible at baking. Not patient enough, I suppose.
Here are a few of my recent attempts at the culinary arts: (Mind you, they taste better than these photos look!)

Balsalmic-marinated Sirloin with goat cheese and hollandaise, organic green beans, and polenta |

Super-Easy Breeze Pineapple Angel-food Surprise |

Grilled Asparagus- Yucky by itself, but so pretty-- and yummy with holladaise! |

My version of Carrabba's Chicken Bryan (delicious lemon-wine sauce with sundried tomatoes, fresh basil, over goat cheese) |

YUMMY! Need I say more? I seriously think I am craving Chicken Bryan at a very unreasonable hour : ) And the pineapple cake--did you make that with sugar, or a sugar substitute? Looks great!
