Eventful October

As I was thining about the importance of Today, I realized that October has been a very eventful month for us.  We went on our first date in October, we announced the upcoming arrival of our daughter in October, and we moved away from the North in October.
Today is the seventh anniversary of our move South.  I haven't regretted that decision more than twice in these seven years (and the two regrets were at times when I wish family was nearer).  We had no comprehension of what these seven years would hold for us, but I know they have exceeded our dreams.  When I think about where I pictured we would be seven years ago today, I certainly didn't envision a gorgeous (although labor-intensive) home, a phenomenal daughter, and an extremely successful husband.  I didn't fathom the exquisite friendships I would make (some of which are now tested by distance, but remain dear to my heart) and the interesting adventures we would have.  What a joy to be, as I often say,
A Northerner by Birth
But a Southerner by Heart
