I absolutely love decorating for fall. I know most people cherish pulling out mountains of evergreens, reds, and sparkles at Christmas, but I have always enjoyed decorating for autumn best. I made a wreath several years ago, and I still am excited to see it every October when I hang it on our door. This year it was on a new door, which is another exercise in reflection and gratitude itself, but I digress...
This year I decided to purchase white pumpkins, which was something I had always wanted to do, but had always forgotten, or simply couldn't find. I used a trick my friend Lauren showed me last year with ribbon to dress them for the season. (Lauren is a ribbon expert! I have yet to see anything she couldn't accessorize with a ribbon!)
I also held back on the macabre Halloween touches I normally would be doing right now, since I am hosting a baby shower on Saturday. (Not the happiest decor: skulls, "body parts" in jars, and bones lying about!)
Here are a few glimpses of my fall fancies:
LOVE IT! I may have to try the white pumpkins too--I haven't done that before! I love the gorgeous picture of your front door!
